A barrel coupling consists of a sleeve and a hub fitted with semi-circular cogs. They have retainers, preventing dust from getting in and guaranteeing the continuity of the lubrication.
They compensate angular disalignments of +/- 1º 30´.
They can be absorbed from +/-3 mm up to +/- 8 mm.
The size of coupling depends on the turning moment of the drum, the diameter of the shaft and the radial load which acts on the coupling.
